WOUND DRESSINGS

Wound care dressings vary depending on the type of wound sustained. Identifying the type of wound, position, and severity will allow for one to choose the correct dressing to promote healing and decrease infection.

Dressings help with:

  • Wound debridement

  • Absorption of excess fluids

  • Stops bleeding, and begins the wound healing process
